Kung Fu Panda

THE SUMMARY

Po is a panda bear that dreams of being a great kung fu fighter. He idolizes The Furious Five, a group of kung fu fighters who protect the local village from all forms of evil. Po has all their action figures and posters of the group hang on his walls, but while his dreams are full of kung fu heroics, his life is actually quite boring. He works with his father in a noodle shop. While his father, a goose, is perfectly content living a life making the best noodle soup in the land, Po wants more. This dream will become a reality when the legendary master Oogway has a vision that the evil Tai Lung will return to seek vengeance against the kung fu master Shifu.

While he seems an unlikely hero, Oogway determines it is Po who will become the Dragon Warrior, the only hope for defeating Tai Lung and saving the village. This is not anticipated and Master Shifu does everything he can to discourage Po from continuing his training. The best of the Furious Five, the warrior Tigress, has been groomed for the mantle of Dragon Warrior and when she is passed over for the fat panda, Po finds his heroes offer little help when it comes to preparing for his upcoming battles. This sets in motion a story both funny and uplifting - if you are a young child.

Master Shifu has to train Po and finds his lack of kung fu discouraging. It is not until Po discovers the family secret ingredient to the noodles that he also discovers the secret of his own destiny. Is he really meant to be the Dragon Warrior?

When I watched this movie, I thought that the different of animals stayed in a valley, but I found out that the weakest animal in the entire village is those pigs, bunnies and geese only, in what appears to be a lazy animation effort..so, there are the special of characters are 'kung fu fighters' - only ones of their species in the village (tiger, mantis, viper, crane, monkey, and eventually a panda). I don't know why the animators don't do more different of animals - villagers.. But, it is good job because they do more beautiful animated landscape. :)

I am sure that everyone could laugh at the action's lovable Po.. So, Kung Fu Panda is about as good as animated features get, and for parents looking for something the whole family can enjoy! Kids can understand so easily when they follow the storyline..They also like their cute characters, especially panda.. :D It give a important lesson for the kids..The message is simple: believing in yourself is always the first step towards living up to your full potential!, meaning that if you want to make your dream become true, you must believe in yourself and take a action to achieve your dream to be reality by putting your own effort and building step by step!

Hancock

Hancock (Will Smith) is an alcoholic man with superhuman powers, including supersonic flight, invulnerability, immortality, and super-strength. Though he uses his powers to stop criminals in his current residence of Los Angeles, his activity inadvertently causes millions of dollars in property damage due to his constant intoxication. As a result, he is routinely jeered at the crime scenes. Hancock also ignores court subpoenas from the city of Los Angeles to address the property damage he has caused...

That is why he is a disheveled, hard-drinking, Los Angeles-based superhero referred to on the street by cute kids and peaceful oldies alike as an a–hole... Since his accident, the reluctant crimestopper doesn’t know who he is or why he’s in L.A. (hence the generic name John Hancock); he just knows he possesses otherworldly talents for flying and hurling automobiles, among other attributes useful for surviving in the City of Angels. When I watched this movie, it make me surprised..o_O He can fly so fast! His flying style is more like IronMan's..but he is very strong, as Superman! The robbers want to kill him. Their bullets hit his eyes but he don't feel pain! What is he?? Who is he? Where is he coming from? No idea because he don't remember his memories since he reached L.A.. For everyone, he really is hero after he changes into nice guy! :D

I think that every hero should get their weakness, right? For example, Superman's weakness is the green mineral stone called Kryponite. Spiderman's is evil Symbiote.. He has to get one too, for sure! When you watch this movie, you will know what is that! :D

This movie is really much great than Hellboy 2: Golden Army. Hancock the jaunty, jokey riff on the screwed-up inner emotional life of a traditionally ironclad superhero becomes Hancock the icky lesson in the importance of personal responsibility, loyalty, and continued family togetherness. Also, of course making the world a better place! :)

Midori Days

THE SUMMARY

High school delinquent Seiji Samawura who is the toughest student. Plus his grade is not very good because he fights more than he studies. He somehow is not that bad guy as he only tends to protect the weaker students from being bullied. A few students especially Osamu Miyanara idolize him for his fighting skills. However, due to his involving in fights and his "Devil's Right Hand' causing most of people become afraid of him, no one is willing to be his girlfriend. Even so 20 girls has rejected his love, he is desperate to have a girlfriend!

Until one morning when he wakes up and discovers his right hand become a miniature girl named Midori Kasugano, she confesses that she has had a crush on him for 3 years. Seiji feels excited upon hearing her confession. From now on, the pair has to adapt to this sudden and forced closeness over the next two weeks. Much mayhem and some romance ensue between them. Seiji sometimes become annoyed with Midori's attitude but he also become embarrassed when Midori says she loves him.

In order to hide Midori from the public, Seiji does his best to make his right hand look like an injured hand by wrapping a bandage around her head. Only a few people knows about Midori being his right hands. As the story progresses, Seiji becomes conscious that he has developed feeling for Midori and demands that Midori is indeed important to him and he can't bear losing Midori. Midori somehow realizes that the situation can't keep like this on forever and decides to restart their relationship after she returns to her body.

And the manga ends with them becoming a couple, with Seiji buying a new diary for Midori, after letting her read old one.

Midori is translated as "Midori No Hibi" in Japanese. I think Midori is only the main character instead of Seiji - the manga focuses on her mostly. I feel sympathy on Midori as she is too weak to confess to the one she loves in the reality. But Midori is not that type when she is being Seiji's right hand. Totally different from the reality. She is always daring to tell him she loves him and it has been already many times! @_@ The love can happen between a rough delinquent and a shy girl. It reminded me of my friend who has a boyfriend like Seiji. She is always worried about his getting worse and worse in future. So she has to do a lot of efforts and sweats to change him to be better person. Under her influence, he is really changed to a good guy. She is relieved and she can rest without ant worry. o_O Is it really worked up? If you have a boyfriend like Seiji whose you worry about his bad behaviour, you better have to read or watch this and learn how to CONTROL your boyfriend. =D

Gravion

THE SUMMARY

The first sequel of Gravion centers in year 2041 AD where an enemy called Zeravire suddenly appearing in the solar system and destroying all the military installations it comes across. Luckily ithe enemy's invasion is already predicted by a wealthy man named Klein Sandman and he had been secretly preparing his army for battle - Gravion, a giant super robot that utilizes gravity as its source of energy. Yeah, Gravion is Sandman's trump card in this battle.

Meanwhile, a young man named Eiji Shigure secretly enters Sandman's base in search for his missing sister. From there, he meets another yong man by the name of Toga Tenkuji who controls the the main core of Gravion and then he learns that he has been tricked into working with Sandman by piloting the G-Attacker. Later Eiji reluctantly becomes a part of team and befriends with his teams; Luna Gusuku & Eina with G-Driller, Leele with G-Shadow and Mizuki Tachibana with her G-Striker.

They must fight together abroad Gravion the super giant to fend off the Zeravire's threat .. until the final battle in Gravion, Gravion is unable to defeat the ultimate Zeravire with normal attacks. Eina who doesn't wish to see Toga got hurt has decided to undock her Mecha and launch its ultimate attack towards Zeravire. The attack is successful but Eina's body is believed to be perished together with its ultiamte attack since then.


In Gravion Zwei - the second sequel where Zeravire threat seems have to be stopped and it may be only a temporary period so the world start resting in a peace. However, soon or later when it rises back up all of a sudden and does havoc wreck in Earth once again, forcing the Earth Gult teams together the super robot, Gravion has to wake up and take action again to defend the Earth and its world.

At the same time, Klein reveals Leelee's true background and history to the team except for Leelee. Leele was not summoned to attend the meeting and she is curious about their meeting, so she asks Toga to tell her and yeah thanks to Toga's stupidty, he tell her everything and even shows the cinematic event. To her shock, she is unable to accept the truth and she fells in a sleep mode plus she is unable to join any battle.

All this while, the Earth Forces (EFA) is planning to create their own gravity machines to counter the Zeravire, the Grand Troopers. Eina is revealed to be alive still and she is back with Proto Gran Divas - Geo Javelin, Geo Stinger, Geo Calibre, Geo Mirage and Gran Sigma. Now the new Gran Divas can be used and merged with Gran Kaiser to create Sol Gravion. Thanks to Eina's comeback, Leele is awaken again.

Now as they attempt to fend off the Zeravire completely, the people of the Earth Gult and EFA must protect their future as well as they also has to confront their pasts and unveil the mysteries of the Zeravire.

BAck when I watched this anime, there was no subtitle because it is a pirated DVD =P . Hardly to understand what's happening in the story. >_< Nevermind, thanks to many actions that set up in Gravion, I can completely understand what's exactly happening. I think it's like Power Rangers, you know why... Their Mecha can be merged into a super robot like in Power Rangers, right? =D But Gravion don't varify the color on each individual. That's only the difference between Gravion and Power Rangers!

Wow, all the character has own mystery related to their past. @_@ That made me feel touched and moved.. *sniff *sniff... They somehow become closer between each others like a deeper friendship. Especially for Eiji and Luna who always quarel over and over, I think they will fall in love with each others one day but Eiji like Leele while Luna like Toga - too complicated and more than triangle love. Too bad, Toga and Leele has romantic interests towards each others.

I wanna buy DVD that has subtitle. *grin... Anyway I think it's really a worth watching this anime. Better to watch this anime than getting regretted. After watching this anime, you can write good or bad review back here. =)

Reaper

THE SUMMARY

Reaper is about a man named Sam Oliver who is always wondering about his parents going easy on him whether it was school, sports or career choices for 20 years of his life. As the result, Sam dropped out of a college and ended up by working at Work Bench - a home improvement store and wasting his endless hours playing videos game and pining for his co-worker and maybe his crush (I guess =P), Andi Prendergast.

His life began changing at his 21st birthday when he learnt that his parents sold his soul to the Devil before he was even born in the exchange to restore his father's health back. Unable to escape his fate, Sam has no choice or reason to refuse but has to serve the Devil as a bounty hunter - hunting, tracking, capturing and sending the evil escapee back to Hell. The Devil provides him various vessel that is kept in a wooden box to capture and send the evil being.

Though his life has suddenly turned weird and scary, he find out that he somehow feels good and funny about his new responsibility as a Reaper, with the goofball help of his friends and co-workers Bert "Sock" Wysocki and Benjamin "Benji" Gonzalez along with Sock's ex-girlfriend, Josie Miller. Now, with his friends and his trusty vessel-of-the-weeks at his side, Sam is ready to venture his new life out as a Reaper.

Last Friday, I watched this series Reaper on 8TV and, however I missed out 2 first episodes. >_< I think it's really a good series because this series is a supernatural-comedy. ^_^v Although the concept of Reaper is a bit similar to Supernatural's, but Supernatural is fully horror-genred series. The way of bustering the evil supernatural being is also different. In Reaper, they use various form of vessel which is daily and home thing. The vessels are very unique until It made me laugh so much.=D For example they even used toaster or dove to buster the evil thingy but yeah it are really efficent. o_O

This is a new series that was released in America last year and wow, it received mostly positive response from the critic and audience members alike. ;) So you better have to watch this series on 8TV at 10pm every Friday! Kekkaishi

THE SUMMARY

Being centered in a Japanese historical era that dated back to five hundred years ago, there was a feudal lord was attacked by demons wanting to own and possess his mysterious inner power. This power can be said to be invincible one which allows the demons to take over the human world. To prevent from this happening, the lord summoned the famous mage, Tokimori Hazama with his 2 students and then the managed to rescue the land. But unfortunately, they fell ill thus the feudal lord was killed and his power was also buried with him at a site called Karasumori.

In the present, Yoshimori Sumimura, 14 years old boy and Tokine Yukimura, 16 years old girl are the 22nd descendant of Kekkaishi and the heirs of the Hazama clan, has to exterminate Ayakashi to protect Karasumori by using Kekkai, a technique to capture and destory Ayakashi. Any Ayakashi that are drawn or come near to Karasumori would become stronger and wilder. As heirs to the clan that has protected the land of Karasumori for generations, they must perform that duty usually by guarding the land from intrusion of Ayakashi every night and sometimes even during the day!

But some of the demons form a powerful organization in order to take over and make use of that mysterious power to cure the nine-tailed demon fox. Thanks to Yoshimori and Tokine's effort, Karasumori is saced and still in their hands to be protected. From here, Yoshimori begins to notice the real power of Karasumaru and his mind has to come out with many questions on Karasumori, causing he become more curious with what the power of Karasumori exactly is. He also wishes to strengthen his poor Kekkai skills yet he needs a power to protect and save the world. Still, many Ayakashi and some of assailants are after this power of Karasumori.

When I saw this word of "Kekkaishi" on the schedule of TV Guide on the paper, I wondered what is it about... Oh, Kekkaishi is translated as "Barrier Master", meaning the people who is destined to be a Kekkaishi, is able to possess some ability to create barrier. In Kekkaishi, it is said not all people can be a true Kekkaishi. Let's take Sumimura's family as an example - there is the 22nd generation with 3 childrens but Yoshimori is only the chosen while the other brothers are not. Why is it so? It's because the proof of "True Legitimate of Successor" is found on Yoshimori's body.

Since I didn't often catch up with anime, I then go read manga. Easy and convenient... Hehe, this story is great as it consists of different elements in this story. This story has a sense of comedy as well which makes me laugh when Yoshimori is being a mindless idiot - always being scolded by his grandpa for making cake and despised by Yokine for tailing her to school. Yoshimori is also not good at his Kekkai skill, causing he has to rely on Tokine who is more experienced than him. -_- See, you know why I called him "idoit"...

But what I am mostly curious about Kekkaishi is that the mysterious power that resides within Karasumori. What is actually the power? It is so d*mn mysterious until two families have to protect it from Ayakashi and evil source since 500 years ago. No one knows what the power exactly is and the secret of Karasumori. Tokine seems never bothered with this reason but only Yoshimori is because he has once gained and felt the real power that was given by Karasumori. o_O That's why Yoshimori wanted to find out what the power actually is and demanded to seal Karasumori forever.

Now seems like Yoshimori is unconsciously bleeding into darkside and what will happen to him? That make me wanna to know this story. =D Go read this manga, Kekkaishi. Oh, if you wants to know more details related to Kekkaishi, you may find out in Wikipedia : Kekkasihi.

Paprika

Ah, you want to know what is that "paprika"? Hmm, paprika is a spice made from the grinding of dried sweet red or green bell peppers. Oh, don't get me wrong. What I am talking about Paprika is a Japanese animated science fiction film based on Yasutaka Tsutsui's 1993 novel of the same name, which is directed by Satoshi Kon and animated by Madhouse Studios.

FULL SUMMARY

In this Japanese anime epic where the humanity's last bastion of privacy has finally infiltrated by technology meaning is the world of our dream, the story focuses on a new invention called the DC-Mini. With this revolutionary device, it allow the psychiatrists to enter a patient's dream to observe their dream and explore their unconscious thought. So basically it is the purpose for a therapeutic setting.

But an unknown assailant steals all of the devices, using them to enter people's dreams thus enacting mind control and giving the culprit an opportunity to get away with all sorts of malicious deeds. Now a chaos ensues as people's dreams begin to bleed and blend into reality and the thin line between the conscious and the unconscious begins to blur.

Enter a young female researcher named Chiba to take it upon herself by delving into the newly anarchic dream world in order to make and set things to be straight back. In this surreal realms, she is known as Paprika and she is set off to save the world, with a bursting emotion, fantastic imagery and breathtakingly innovation adventure through the dream realm.

My colleague, Farid passed this movie to me, insisting me to watch this movie. Though he didn't watch this movie.. -_- Well, on that time, I has nothing to do so I watched this movie. Wow, this movie has a very deep level of understanding and mostly related to reality and science which I hate, hehehe... I watched this movie for the first time and I didn't understand. So I repeated to watch this movie once again, I finally got it. It's a slightly same with Matrix. I think it is really high recommended to you people to watch.

This movie emphasizes on the people's conscience. This technology allows the doctors, scientists or psychiatrists to find out and study on what the people is thinking. In my opinion, it is really a good invention but it is dangerous one as well. If this device is really created in reality and no one take a good care of it, bad people can use this chance to do something bad on our mind i.e damaging our mind.

Mythbusters is my favorite show, will be exploring the rumors about if you leave your Xmas tree lights on all night it just might burst into flames!! Fun!! Also, a very dangerous vodka myth! The lovely and talented Kari will find out if pouring vodka on a jellyfish sting will ease the pain. Personally, if I got stung by a jelly fish, I'd drink the vokda. But that's just me. It is funny when the other team-three expert assistants;Kart, Tory and Grant try to build some serious alien technology - anti-gravity.. Kart is cheerful girl, who really enjoy to do some experitmentation! That is why she is very good in her favourite subject; science. Grant is a genius?! He can bulid the electronics, and technology by himself.. o_O Tory is good bulider, but he likes to give a try to test some dangerous things by himself!

Plumíferos

Remember the short story and animation of BBB (Big Buck Bunny in short form)? Now Plumíferos, the upcoming Argentina computer-animated feature film under the director of Daniel DeFelippo and the first computer-animated feature film to be created using open-source software namely Blender by Manos Digitales Animation Studio.

PLOT SUMMARY

"It's an everything universe that exists 7 feet over our heads. They are city birds that you can find in every tree or every corner."

This story revolves around two type of birds namely Juan the Sparrow and Feifi the Canary who come from different background are striving and encountering some challenge and danger with their life at a city. Both of them will need to be something that they aren't and will face adventures with their new friends - Libia the Pidgeon, Pipo the Humming Bird, Clarita the Bat and etc. A clumsy cat, some psycho Southern Lapwings and Mr. Puertas will make everything even harder for them.

Juan and Feifi will try to shape their destiny to feel truly free.

The date of release has still not confirmed but it is expected to be released within this year!

Wow, I like this animation when I saw this trailer earlier just now. The birds and bat are very cute, cute and absolutely cute. I msyelf can't resist against cute characters. =D Oh yeah, if I'm not mistaken, this movie is the first animation to feature the life of birds. =o

And yeah, I wish I could watch this movie soon =D and hopefully this movie gives a positive review! =)

Hellboy II : The Golden Army

Hellboy II: The Golden Army is a comic book 2008 film adaptation of the fictional Dark Horse Comics character, Hellboy. I remembered that I watched the movie "HellBoy" before, so I feel it is better than Hellboy II: The Golden Army..but, it make us to laugh more..because they looks like stupid and always take action as they like..

THE SUMMARY

A young Hellboy is told a bedtime story by his father, involving an ancient battle between humans and the mythical creatures. The tale culminates with the creation of a crown that would give its wearer control over a fierce clockwork army. The 4900 soldiers, called The Golden Army, decimated the humans so wholly, a truce was made. Humans would have the cities, while the mythical creatures would have the forests. The crown was broken into three, with two of the pieces going to the elves and the other to the humans. The Golden Army was buried and quickly became legend...

In the present, a prince Nuada wants to take over his throne from King which he killed because he wants to rule Earth by controling the Golden Army.. The mythical world starts a rebellion against humanity in order to rule the Earth, so as Hellboy and his team returns they must save the world from the rebellious creatures. Now, as the creatures who inhabit the spiritual realm gear-up for an all out attack on the human plane, the only one capable of saving the Earth is a tough-talking hellspawn rejected by both worlds.

The movie skillfully swerves between the workaday routine of this unlikely hero and a magical realm of goblins and trolls, where golden leaves float to the ground and a power-hungry elf named Prince Nuada plots to launch an invincible automaton army upon an unwitting mankind...I think that Prince Nuada is very skillful and can fight with the enemies like lighting fast!! :O So, I sure that he was learning the master kungfu fighting before they make this film..Hellboy will fight with Prince Nuada..Who will win? Hellboy is very strong, more like Hulk..haha.. :D

For me, the scene of action are very good , but this story is boring abit..It take 1/2 2 hours to watch the movie; Hellboy II: The Golden Army!! @_@ It make me and my eldest sis want to sleep.. zz z.. The mythical creatures are very unqiue - good masterpieces made by the talent of artists. I think that the director want to make new movie for Hellboy III again? My sister told me that she bet this movie will be continue because this story not finish? Who knows it? :P
